We design and build decks, and we fix the ones other people built that are starting to fail. Most of our work is for homeowners in Lincoln and the towns around it who want to actually use their backyard instead of staring at a slab of cracked wood through the window. We got into this trade because framing a deck right, one that won't bounce or cup or pull away from the house, is harder than it looks and we like getting it right.
If you're on this page, there's a decent chance a board is cupping, a post is wobbling, or the ledger board where the deck meets the house has gone soft from water sitting behind the siding. We pull the skirt boards and check the ledger flashing on every repair job before we touch anything cosmetic, because refinishing a deck that's rotting from the inside just hides the problem for a season. The same goes for new builds: footings go below grade, joists get hung with galvanized or stainless hardware depending on what's touching treated lumber, and the structure gets built to hold the deck up for decades, not just pass a look-over.
None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.
Carrying a contractor's license and liability insurance means you're covered if something goes wrong on site. We'll show proof before you sign anything.
Decks over 30 inches high or attached to the house usually need a permit, and we handle that paperwork and the inspection that follows. You don't have to figure out the county's requirements yourself.
Torn-out decking, cut-offs, and packaging get cleared at the end of each day, not just at the end of the job. Your yard stays usable the whole time we're working.
Every quote breaks out materials, labor, and permit costs so you know what you're paying for before work starts. No verbal number that changes once the invoice shows up.
Framing and decking stages get scheduled around weather and material delivery so the timeline we give you actually holds. If something shifts, you hear about it before the day it was supposed to happen.
We stock and install pressure-treated lumber, cedar, and composite brands like Trex and TimberTech, and can walk you through the cost and upkeep difference between them. The right material depends on your budget and how much upkeep you actually want to do.
